HUTER outcomes presented at the HCA 2022 General Meeting

The European project HUTER, led by INCLIVA, presents its conclusions as part to create the cellular map of the human uterus Date: June 30th 2022. Prof Carlos Simón, HUTER Project Coordinator, presented the final outcomes from the project during the plenary session of the third day of the Human Cell Atlas 2022 General Meeting held in Vienna, Austria, from 27th -29th June in a hybrid format. Prof. Carlos Simón presented the final outcomes of the project at the Plenary Session 6- Results of the EU Horizon 2020 Pilot Projects.

End of HUTER project

• Project results will contribute to the international Human Cell Atlas initiative to redefine human anatomy at the single cell level and provide unprecedented insight into this important organ • 59 samples have been analyzed, generating an important database that will favor future studies and increase knowledge of the uterus and its clinical translation in reproductive medicine, obstetrics, gynecology and regenerative medicine Valencia, June 29th 2022. The INCLIVA Health Research Institute, of the Clinical Hospital of Valencia, has hosted the final meeting of the European project HUTER (Human Uterus Cell Atlas), funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program with the aim of creating the map cell from the human uterus and in which entities from the United Kingdom, Sweden, Estonia and Spain participate.

UEA at the Wellcome Connecting Science Single Cell Biology Meeting

Prof. Monk and his lab presenting the HUTER project Date: June 10th 2022 Prof. Dave Monk and his team, Louise Maor, and Claudia Buhigas presented the HUTER outcomes at the Wellcome Connecting Science Single Cell Biology meeting at the Wellcome Genome Campus, a meeting co-organised by Roser Vento and colleagues. Louise presented a poster on the newly developed scEM&T-seq method and delivered a lightening talk on her work. The event was hold from the 6th to 8th of June.

Dr. Mas and Dr. Rosón attend to the Bonsai Lab User Meeting Date: May 23rd 2022 Dr. Aymara Mas and Dr. Rosón INCLIVA researchers participating in the HUTER project attended on May 19th to the Spain User Group meeting organized by Bonsai Lab in CIMA (Centro de Investigación Médica Aplicada) Universidad de Navarra, Pamplona Spain. Bonsai technology is being used within the HUTER project, therefore the importance of being up to date with the latest advancements on single cell and spatial technology for novel and experienced 10x Genomics technology users.

Claudia Buhigas gave a selected short talk on scM&T-seq and Louise Chappell-Maor presented poster on the improved scEM-T-seq protocol. Claudia Buhigas gave her talk on Session IV chaired by Roni Wright on “Single-cell multi-omic analysis reveals defective genome activation and epigenetic reprogramming associated with human pre-implantation embryo arrest”.

HUTER consortia presented the latest developments Date: March 23rd 2022 On March 10th INCLIVA together with its software developer BAHÍA Software presented the last developments performed within the HUTER project in an on-line seminar organized by Amazon Web Services (AWS). The on-line seminar focused on researchers working in the education environment, non- profit organizations, health or public entities where the theme was to debate about solutions and advantages that AWS provides.

Dr. Garrido and team to present at SRI meeting their latest developments within HUTER Date: January 12th 2022 Dr. Tamara Garrido & PhD student Irene Muñoz and team with the abstract titled “Single-cell atlas of defective decidualization in preeclampsia reveals different endometrial cell composition”, has been selected for an oral presentation in a concurrent oral session at the Society for Reproductive Investigation’s 69th Annual Scientific Meeting. Dr. Mas to present at SRI her latest developments within HUTER Date: January 10th 2022 Dr. Aymara Mas abstract titled “Single Cell Transcriptomic Atlas Characterization of the Myometrium in Menopausal Women”, has been selected for a poster presentation at the Society for Reproductive Investigation’s 69th Annual Scientific Meeting. HUTER and HUGODECA partners share impressions about data platforms Date: December 3rd 2021 The European Commission is funding six pilot actions (HCA Organoid, DIscovAIR, HUTER, Braintime, HUGODECA and ESPACE) within the Horizon2020 Research and Innovation Framework Program, starting from January 2020. Each project has been designed to characterize single cells or their nuclear components, their interactions and/or spatial location in tissues from one human organ, using state-of-the-art single cell technologies, analytical methods and computational tools, and brings together European experts in the respective fields who are joining their efforts to support the creation of the human cell atlas.

HUTER H2020-HCA cluster meeting Date: November 9th 2021 Last Tuesday HUTER consortia participated in the cluster meeting organized by the European Commission where the different consortia as part of the Human Cell Atlas initiative (HCA) joined. Recent achievements were highlighted and future actions commented on.
